Default map setting question?

This is driving me crazy! Usually when I'm going around searching for ore, I leave my map open on the left hand side. But on my warrior, whenever I either loot the ore, or loot an NPC I've pwned, my map automatically closes.... this drives me batshit.It doesn't happen on any OTHER of my toons, but this one it does, and of course since she is my high level miner it's of course the most annoying thing ever.
