Power Auras

So I keep hearing that Power Auras > Shock and Awe for enhance dps, and.. after struggling to set it up, I more or less have it set up to show my maelstrom stacks and my shields, but... what.. else are people using it for? I've done some googling, and I've not found what makes this addon so superior.
